Oxford ASO For large group employers (NY: 101+, NJ: 51+, CT: 51+) looking to skinny-down their bottom line and take on greater management of their employee health benefits, a self-funded, or administrative services only (ASO) plan, can be a viable option. We now offer a wider range of lower cost ASO plans, designed for affordability and built around the networks, service and programs you know and trust. Features include:

  • Cost savings through integrated medical, pharmacy and behavioral health benefits

  • Embedded clinical and wellness solutions with the option for additional buy-ups

  • Built-in payment integrity protections

  • Stop-loss availability with weekly reimbursements

  • Enhanced reporting features

Oxford Level Funded

ASO plans aren't just for large size employers anymore. We've looked deeper into new ways for smaller sized businesses to access the savings1 , freedom and stability often associated with this funding arrangement and developed the new Oxford Level Funded product. It's the evolution of the popular All Savers® Alternate Funding product in our UnitedHealthcare portfolio. Available with the Oxford Liberty Network to New Jersey and Connecticut smaller (5-99) to mid-size Key Account (100-300) employers, Oxford Level Funded options include:

  • HSA, PPO and EPO plans

  • Deductibles: $500 to $6,350

  • Coinsurance options: 80% or 100%

  • Access to UnitedHealthcare's broad proprietary national network and the OptumRx network of pharmacies

Tiered Benefit Plans

Our Oxford portfolio also now includes fully insured and self-funded options with a tiered network structure for primary care physician (PCP) and specialist care. This tiered benefit design may help employers save on medical premiums and members save with low-cost Tier 1 copayments. While members can choose from any provider in their network, seeking care from high-value Tier 1 physicians may result in lower out-of-pocket costs. Members just need to sign in to myuhc.com®, go to "Find a Doctor" and look for the Tier 1 symbol.

Virtual Doctor Visits Covered at 100%

Virtual doctor visits have become almost a necessity during the COVID-19 pandemic. To help ensure members have convenient access to this important option for care, most Oxford plans now provide 100% coverage for online visits with network providers. A virtual doctor visit may represent a $34 net medical cost avoidance savings per visit.1

  • UnitedHealthcare Motion® — Now available with Oxford fully insured small and large group plans with a Health Savings Account (HSA) feature and we are rolling out additional fitness activities in 2021. The program, which offers financial rewards (over $1,000 per year) to help offset member out-of-pocket costs with deposits into their HSA, is available with most plans at no additional cost.

  • Double-digit Premium Savings — The Oxford Metro Network available to New York- and New Jersey-situs clients is our answer to affordability. This non-tiered network provides wide access to local providers and offers plans with our most competitive rates in the downstate New York and northern New Jersey regions—helping local businesses with premium credits up to 15% and 16%, respectively.2 Gated and non-gated options, with a variety of deductible and coinsurance amounts are available to help fit a variety of client budget and benefit needs.

  • Total Cost of Care — Using at Total Cost of Care (TCOC) approach, we help employers look beyond a plan's "sticker price" to see its total costs over time. As health care costs continue to outpace inflation, TCOC is meant to help employers better manage their health care spend and deliver a robust health benefits package to their employees.
